The Penn GSE Information Technology Team is made up of four sub-teams:

Computing Team

The Desktop Support team offers hardware and software support for faculty and staff. We handle purchasing and installation, and also manage access to various systems. We maintain labs for students to utilize statistical software. Please reach out to us for consultations or assistance.

Web Development Team

GSE's Web Development Team supports the school’s web projects and internal applications. We work directly with GSE’s students, faculty, and staff to support new digital research initiatives. In addition, we offer consulting on other application development projects. To discuss the feasibility of a project, or for assistance in initiating a project discussion, please contact us.

Academic Technology and Event Support Team

The Academic Technology team offers instructional technology services and support for teaching, learning, conducting research, and administrative work for faculty and staff at Penn GSE.

In-room support session with Faculty. Training in Audio-Visual equipment. Support for guests both in-person and remote. Any request for after-hours support must be made at least two weeks in advance to ensure our staff can plan accordingly to cover.

GSE-IT can support in-person events/in-person Classes and Virtual (only in GSE spaces) Please submit a ticket to make a request for support. Please give four weeks' lead time to ensure staff can be scheduled. 

Learning Design and Technology Team

The Learning Design & Technology (LDT) team is dedicated to the effective integration of technology in learning by collaborating with GSE faculty and staff. We help implement technology that enhances teaching and learning experiences. Our team offers support for both in-person and online learning design, focusing on educational technology needs at Penn GSE. This includes instructional design, pedagogical support, and professional development in learning technology for the entire Penn GSE community. 

The LDT team specializes in a diverse range of academic technologies and provides expertise in the learning management system (Canvas), active learning assessment tools, and interactive media. To view the types of consultations we offer at LDT, please visit our webpage (PennKey login required).
