Services
Solutions for the Penn GSE Community
The Penn GSE Marketing and Communications (MarComms) team is a trusted service partner to the school, supporting its mission through a wide range of strategic marketing and communications services. We work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and leadership to deliver clear, timely, and high-quality communications that advance institutional priorities and elevate Penn GSE’s impact.
We are committed to being reliable, responsive, and thoughtful stewards of the school’s voice and brand. As with any shared service, timelines and deliverables may vary based on overall workload, capacity, and competing priorities, but our goal is always to communicate clearly, set realistic expectations, and provide consistent, high-value support.
How MarComms Prioritizes Requests
MarComms uses a consistent, transparent framework to review and schedule work. This approach helps ensure our finite capacity is focused on the work that most advances institutional priorities, supports enrollment and engagement goals, and meets time‑sensitive commitments.
Triage and Prioritization
How Requests Are Reviewed
All requests are evaluated based on several factors, including strategic alignment to school priorities, deadline sensitivity, risk mitigation, audience impact, available capacity, and the completeness of required inputs. Requests must be submitted through official intake channels and include key information (objective, audience, timeline, and inputs) in order to be scheduled.
Priority Levels at a Glance
We assign each request to a priority level so work can be sequenced thoughtfully rather than first‑come, first‑served:
- P1 – Critical / Mandatory: Institutionally critical or time‑sensitive work tied to enrollment, compliance, risk mitigation, or leadership directives.
- P2 – Strategic / Time‑Bound: High‑priority initiatives with defined launch windows that directly advance strategic goals.
- P3 – Planned / Operational: Important ongoing work with flexible timing.
- P4 – Discretionary / Nice‑to‑Have: Optional enhancements or exploratory requests.
- P5 – Not Feasible: Requests that cannot be delivered due to timing, scope, inputs, or capacity.
What This Means for Partners
- Not all requests can be handled immediately or in the order received.
- Complete requests move through review and scheduling more quickly.
- Work may be sequenced differently during peak periods (e.g., admissions cycles).
- When requests are deferred or not feasible, we provide clear rationale and alternative options where possible.
We invite you to explore the services we offer and to partner with us early so we can best support your goals.

Whether it’s a research milestone, a program launch, a student success, or a compelling project underway, our team can help share your story across multiple channels, including the Penn GSE Newsroom, Penn GSE Magazine, our social media accounts, the bi-weekly Penn GSE News e-newsletter, and the Educator's Playbook, an e‑newsletter for K–12 educators.
