Branded Templates & Assets

Below are a number of templated resources available for use by the GSE community.

Downloadable Assets

If you develop new materials, please partner with us by submitting them for brand review before sharing or distributing them. You can familiarize yourself with Penn GSE and Penn Brand Guides on our Policies page.

Editorial Style Guide

The Penn GSE Editorial Style Guide is your go-to resource for creating clear, consistent, and on-brand communications. It outlines standards for writing and formatting to ensure everything we share reflects our School’s brand, values, and voice. Whether you’re drafting a newsletter, presentation, or web content, this guide will help you keep your message unified and professional.

Free News Subscriptions

The Penn Libraries hosts subscriptions for several major news media websites, magazines, and mobile applications, at no cost to Penn students, faculty, and staff. These typically require an initial website registration through PennKey authentication. Examples of the most popular subscriptions you have access to include:

Read The Philadelphia Inquirer

We strongly encourage the Penn GSE community to read The Philadelphia Inquirer.

For any questions about these subscriptions or other libraries needs, contact Penn Libraries' Penn GSE Librarian Joanna Thompson.

Recommended Newsletters

In addition to these resources, staff and faculty are encouraged to sign up for free newsletters that either exclusively or often focus on education, such as:

Photography & Videography Permissions

Release Forms

For all photo and video shoots, signed participant consent/release forms are mandatory (including for audio). PDF e-form releases and language for registration forms can be found below:

If you need release forms in other languages, please contact Matt D’Ippolito. Forms are currently available in the following languages:

  • Arabic
  • Bangla/Bengali
  • French (West Africa)
  • Portuguese (Brazil)
  • Simplified Chinese
  • Spanish

Release forms are NOT required for current Penn GSE students, faculty, and staff. For all others, including alums, we need signed releases.

Event Sign-up Release Language

If you are hosting an event with photography and/or video, we strongly advise including event release language with “acknowledgment” checkboxes in your event registration form (e.g., Qualtrics).

Photo Library & University Stock

Access to the photo library (the DAM) is limited. We request that each program or department designate one team member to have access. To request access to the DAM, please contact Matt D’Ippolito.

The University also provides the following campus stock photography to help meet your needs:
